Friendship Circle Provides Much-Needed Back-to-School Supplies

For 15 years, Friendship Circle has been brightening the start of the school year by providing new backpacks filled with essential school supplies. This initiative, started by Friendship Circle supporter Lisa Gutkin in memory of her grandmother, has become a cherished tradition.

This year, with the help of generous sponsors, 60 backpacks were gifted to Friendship Circle children as they prepare to return to school.

“I have always supported this project,” said Jody Caplan. “This year, I purchased additional backpacks in memory of my father, whose legacy continues to inspires me. Thank you for the opportunity to support your meaningful work.”

“We picked up two backpacks today,” said Rano Elmuratova. “One grey and one white. Thank you so much!” Elmuratova’s son, Ollie was so thrilled with his gift that he didn’t want to leave LifeTown’s parking lot.
