Unite for Israel Challah Bake

There was a need to knead. In the aftermath of the massacre in Israel, over 85 women gathered on Thursday, October 12 at LifeTown to knead dough.

Struggling through grief and shock, they came together to find community, to unite for Israel, and to prepare challah for Shabbat.

As they measured and kneaded, Rebbetzin Sarah Proops from Synagogue of the Suburban Torah Center in Livingston provided words of comfort and led the group in a recitation of Psalms, traditionally offered in times of crisis.
